You Matter! Everyone Matters!

For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16.

People matter to God. All people. The key word in John 3:16 is “everyone.  So that means everybody matters to God whether God matters to them or not.

In our culture today, it is easy to love those we agree with; those who do us no harm, who don’t need anything from us, and those who don’t offend us. God calls us to  love those that may seem unlovable. That's how God operates!

Join us in our passion. We love Las Vegas, we love the diversity of our city, and the many people we have an opportunity to love.  Jesus is teaching us that regardless of the size of the multitude, God still places a high value on each person. He cares about the smallest details of our lives, our potential, our failures, our hurts, our health, our fears and our destiny.

I matter. You matter. Everyone matters!

The Four Priority Issues for the United Methodist Women in 2020:

Criminalization of Communities of Color

United Methodist Women will actively work to dismantle current policies that depict children of color, particularly girls of color, as criminals and that respond with mass profiling, arrest and incarceration.

Economic Inequality

United Methodist Women members can act at the state level to begin to bridge the inequality gap by advocating for legislation that advances a living wage for all.

Climate Justice

Fundamental to a cleaner planet is to work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from our own habits and the greatest causes of greenhouse gas emissions. UMW will continue to live into the 13 Steps to Sustainability that provides concrete ways to counter climate injustice through our own event planning and daily habits.

Maternal and Child Health

United Methodist Women is committed to promoting abundant health for women and children in our local, national, and global communities. We also believe that woman themselves are their own best advocates.
